Roy Aulie Jacobsen

I am driven by the belief that data‑driven communication can save lives. My goal is to translate political‑crisis insights into accessible guidance that builds public trust and informs policy in moments of uncertainty

About

Roy Aulie Jacobsen is a PhD Research Fellow at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences, holding MAs in Sociology and Media Studies. He specializes in political communication during crises, exploring how exogenous shocks transform political leaders into crisis managers and examining the ways leaders respond to political crises that place them at the center of public attention. Beyond political crises, his academic interests include elections, media effects, public health policy, social inequality, social theory, and quantitative methods. He is particularly interested in how communication strategies intersect with public health and policy decision making in times of uncertainty. He aims to translate scholarly insights into practical policy solutions that can be used to drive society forward while upholding democratic values and fostering high levels of public trust.
